You're trading away quite happily and then playing around on the web you read
an article from someone who doesn't trade but revels in giving opinions. A seed
of doubt gets in your mind and you think what if they are right and that position
you were running suddenly takes on a different feel.
The football is on and you are running a large muliti day position. Do you go
and take an offer up and go to the pub with everyone, put your stops in and throw
caution to the wind or do you watch the football in one room and baby sit your
trade on your screens in another. You know that when everyone returns from the
pub they'll think your a bit sad if you didn't pack up work like everyone else
but hey the market doesn't stop for 90 mins just for the football.
Even when you are trading your not doing the same thing as everyone else most
of the time. Your thinking differently and looking for that edge over everyone
else. With respect many are thinking the same way as me right now. So I'm thinking
do I need to take some profits off the table. When I got in everyone was the other
way now they are with me.
Th pressure is part of the game it makes it the greatest game in town. |
